Film & Book Club
This November, our Film & Book Club is heading into the darker corners of mystery, magic, and the supernatural!
Join us as we explore two stories where the line between reality and the impossible gets dangerously thin.
📖 Sherlock Holmes and the Servants of Hell by Paul Kane
🎬 Lord of Illusions (1995) directed by Clive Barker
What happens when the world’s greatest detective encounters horrors that defy logic? And what happens when the illusions we believe in turn out to be terrifyingly real?
We’ll dive into Sherlock Holmes’ journey into Clive Barker’s Hellraiser universe, the dark world of cults and supernatural magic in Lord of Illusions, and the connections between these two very different stories.
As always, we’ll compare the book and film, discuss their characters, themes, and twists, and enjoy some great conversation over a few beers!
Whether you’re a fan of Sherlock Holmes, Clive Barker, or just love a good supernatural horror story, come hang out with us!
